Demonetization depletes Indian stock’s value by Rs 9 lakh crores.
Globally, most stock markets flow in direction tandem with each other, unless a country specific phenomenon occur, which temporarily disconnect that particular country from rest of the world.
Recently, an India specific development “Demonetization” has taken place and on account of which leading Indian indices are down about 4%, contrary to this all other indices are up by 4% (average), creating a difference of 8%.
Indian listed companies market cap is around Rs 110 lakh crores. So, on account of Demonetization around 9 lakh crores worth of wealth depleted in stock market.
